A journey through the last three decades evokes at least some sentimentality even with those devoted to the less romantic technical science. For us, it is a period too short to call ourselves "veterans", but nevertheless long enough to believe that an objective bystander could think of us in terms like "maturity" and "experience". FEM is a numerical method used for the prediction of how a part or assembly behaves under given conditions. We use Ansys software for solving structural, heat transfer and fluid flow problems.
A combination of analytical and experimental techniques and procedures goes hand in hand. What we calculate analytically we often confirm by doing some measurements. On the other hand, when we don't know what to use as loading conditions in our analytical model we firstly do measurements and later analyze what will happen with the structure below real loadings.
